partner with us

AIDS Alabama believes in collaboration as the surest way to efficiently and effectively reach our goals.  That's why we have built strong relationships with organizations all over Alabama, including the state's nine other AIDS Service organizations.

We welcome the opportunity to partner with other likeminded organizations to make a difference in the local fight against HIV/AIDS and the surrounding community at large.

If you are interested in partnering with AIDS Alabama on an educational opportunity, special event, fundraiser, publication, etc., please contact Mary Anne Colvin at (205) 324-9822 or maryanne@aidsalabama.org.

Recent Partnerships

June 2010 - Sisterbration

AIDS Alabama will again partner with Sisterbration to implement the HIV prevention event that continues to be a community favorite - Girls Night Out!  This year's event will take place on Saturday, June 26th at the Alys Stephens Center and will feature a moving and inspiring theatre performance called The Butterfly Confessions.  The purpose of Girls Night Out! is to provide a non-traditional and intimate setting in which guest speakers, performers, and attendees can share insight and expertise as they enjoy an evening of education, entertainment, and transformation.  This special evening of enrichment is designed to help girls and women of color explore HIV/AIDS and other issues and concerns that most profoundly affect them in their relationships and in their health.

June 2010 - Central Alabama PRIDE

In June, AIDS Alabama participated in Central Alabama PRIDE's PRIDE Parade and PRIDEFest 2010.  The Department of Education spearheaded the agency's efforts, providing condoms and HIV prevention education materials during both the parade and the PRIDEFest event.  Congratulations to Central Alabama PRIDE for another wonderful Ten Days of PRIDE!
