volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with AIDS Alabama and your compassion for those living with HIV/AIDS!  AIDS Alabama welcomes those interested in assisting us in our mission through volunteer work. We are always looking for dedicated individuals wanting to use their energy, talents, and resources to fight HIV/AIDS in our community.  We have a wide variety of needs, many that don't require much time at all.  If you have questions about the volunteer policies outlined below, please contact Carly LeQuire, Development Coordinator.

Volunteering Options & Policies

Ongoing Volunteer Team

If you are interested in becoming an ongoing volunteer for AIDS Alabama, the first step is to fill out and submit the volunteer application below.  Once we receive your information, we will contact you with the next scheduled volunteer orientation.  Volunteer orientation is mandatory for all new incoming volunteers, as it provides an opportunity for you to learn more about our organization, what we do, and the current volunteer opportunities available.  Orientations are typically held twice a month and last about an hour and a half. Click here to read more about ongoing volunteer opportunities at AIDS Alabama.

One-Time/Project Volunteers

If you are not interested in volunteering on an ongoing basis, but would like to volunteer on a one-time individual or group project, please fill out the volunteer application below.  AIDS Alabama can provide a specialized project for volunteers, or will consider outside project ideas from individuals or groups.  Examples of projects undertaken in the past include: arts/crafts projects with clients, group outings, outdoor beautification projects, etc.  AIDS Alabama also relies on volunteer support for special event coordination.  Click here to read more about Special Event volunteer opportunities.
