Ever wondered how your group or organization can make a difference in the lives of those who need your help the most? One way to make an impact in the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS is to become a program buddy to one of AIDS Alabama's many housing programs. Program buddies provide necessary support for programs and activities in our campus housing.

Support needed from your organization or group includes cooking meals, throwing holiday parties, providing arts and craft supplies, assisting with outings for the group, providing birthday presents, rewarding children for good grades, and many more fun activities. We currently have three programs in need of your assistance: JASPER House, mental health facility, The Rectory, substance abuse program, and Agape, permanent housing program.

AIDS Alabama's JASPER House opened for services on April 18, 2002. JASPER House is a 14-unit residential care facility designed for multiply-diagnosed individuals.

The Rectory Substance Abuse Treatment Program offers eleven beds to HIV-positive, homeless persons seeking substance abuse treatment. Agape House and Agape II are permanent living apartment complexes that contain both family and single units.
