Gilbert D. Mobley, Jr. is an accessibility consultant with more than 40 years of experience in architecture, accessibility, and universal design. He earned Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture degrees from Auburn University and has served as an accessibility consultant since 2011, following leadership roles with Volkert & Associates.

A dedicated community leader, Gilbert serves on the Board of Directors for AIDS Alabama and has held board positions with several nonprofit organizations, including West Alabama AIDS Outreach, Central Alabama Pride, and the New South Softball League. He is a Member Emeritus of both the Magic City Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the Mystic Krewe of the Druids. Gilbert is also a proud veteran of the Alabama Air National Guard, serving from 1968 to 1974 with an honorable discharge.
