Community Employment Specialist

Overall Mission: To provide culturally competent outreach and connection to community-based resources necessary to support transition to and maintenance of stable housing. To empower clients to achieve personal goals related to independent living and employment in the community.

Human Resources Employment Advocate

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree; Three years relevant experience in health care or related field; Basic knowledge of employment law including HIPAA compliance; Self-starter, detail-oriented, high energy, and exemplary communication skills; Reliable transportation, current/valid driver’s license, auto insurance, good driving record, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination(s); Must successfully complete pre-employment process.

Overall Mission: To maximize private individual, foundation, and corporate dollars from the Greater Birmingham Community, the State of Alabama, and national arena to further the mission of AIDS Alabama. To implement and execute special events. To meet the measurable outcomes of annual goals.

JASPER House Mental Health Tech, Full & Part-Time

Overall Mission: To provide the organization support and personal desire to assist AIDS Alabama in obtaining and maintaining the most productive operations possible.

JASPER House Social Worker

Overall Mission: To provide case management for consumers enrolled in the JASPER House program.

AIDS Alabama South Food Bank Coordinator

Overall Mission: The Food Bank Coordinator is responsible for purchasing and disbursement operations of the food bank. This includes collaborating with social workers to identify eligible recipients, processing, and filling each eligible client’s request for food and hygiene items.
