Dr. Marsha S Sturdevant is a retired pediatrician and a former professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, She is the former Medical Director and Program Director of the Adolescent Health Center and the Family Clinic for Children and Families Living with HIV at Children’s of Alabama. A native of Oregon, she has lived in Alabama for 35 years. She is married to Troy Goss and together they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She has been on the Board of AIDS Alabama for around 25 years, taking a brief hiatus in the 2010's.  She is an advocate for People Living with HIV, Medicaid expansion, gun safety, and clear air and water. As such, she is also a member of Alabama Arise, Moms Demand Action, Alabama Rivers Alliance, and GASP. She believes in people, all people, and wants to continue to serve people even after professional retirement.
